Roger Allam is a well accomplished actor with many strings to his bow. A successful actor for over twenty years, he has made a range of appearances on stage, on the small screen and in the cinema.

The star appeared alongside other great actors such as Tamzin Outhwaite and Frances de la Tour in Mathew Warchus's recreation of the 70's hit, Boeing Boeing. Allam had the lead role of Bernard - a successful architect who tries to play the field with three separate air hostesses at once.

Early Life

Roger was born 26th October 1953 and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1981 where he has had a steady flow of work ever since. Allam brought life to the role of Javert in the original showing of Les Misérables and over the years has been nominated for many awards, winning the Laurence Oliver Award for Best Actor on one occasion.

Career Highlights

Roger Allam has appeared in many West End shows over the years; from performing the lead part in Shakespeare's Macbeth to playing the part of Abbanazar in Aladdin. He has also had a fruitful television career making appearances in many popular shows such as The Bill, Heartbeat and most recently BBC's drama, Spooks. Allam's talents go further still, as an accomplished actor on the silver screen and even lending his talents to radio by performing in a number of plays for the BBC.
