Miller was born on 6 November 1984 in Pageland South Carolina. She was a member of her local gospel choir and took part in school performances.

Miller studied Musical theatre at the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and graduated in 2006.

Career Highlights

Miller starred as Dionne in the Central Park adaptation of Hair and has since received rave reviews for her debut West End performance in Sister Act.

Interesting Facts

Miller was whittled down to the last three actresses to be considered or the role of Effie White in Dreamgirls in 2005. Jennifer Hudson went onto get the role and won an Oscar for her performance in the film.
