Mead was born 14 July 1981 in Southend-On-Sea. He trained in acting, singing and dancing at the Whitehall Performing Arts College but left this establishment before he graduated.Career Highlights
A talented and spirited actor, Lee Mead is no stranger to the stage and has performed in a number of high profile shows including The Phantom of the Opera London, where he acted as the understudy for the part of Raoul. He has also starred as Tommy in productions of Miss Saigon and has appeared in a number of cabaret shows, even performing on cruise ships.Mead starred in the BBC talent show Any Dream Will Do winning the role of Joseph in hit West End production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2007 — 2009). He also starred as Lord Savile in the touring production of Lord Arthur Savile's Crime adapted by Trevor Baxter and is currently starring as Fiyero in London show Wicked.
Interesting Facts
- Before winning Any Dream Will Do, Lee's previous jobs included working at a KFC and working as a postman
- Lee was a dancer in the Geri Halliwell video, It's Raining Men!
