Julian Bleach is an English actor and has recently been in the 2007 ITV adaptation of Frankenstine, the BBC's Doctor Who spin off series Torchwood and the children's series M.I.High. He has also been cast as Mr Sowerberry, the undertaker to whom Oliver is apprenticed, in Cameron Mackintosh's Oliver!. He will be starring opposite Jodie Prenger, the winner of I'd Do Anything.

Early Life

Julian Bleach was trained as an actor at LAMDA, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Julian Bleach is an actor best known as co-creator and host of Shockheaded Peter, a musical which won the 2002 Olivier Award for Best Entertainment. Bleach has also appeared as Ariel in RSC's 2007 production of the Tempest and The Brothers Grimm. On the 14th January 2009, Oliver! will open to the public after previews in December, in which Bleach will play Mr Sowerberry.

Career Highlights

Bleach's part in Shockheaded Peter, which won him the 2002 Olivier Award was the highest point in Bleach's career so far. He will now be playing on the West End stage with Rowan Atkinson, Rosemary Leach and Burn Gorman.
