Donovan recently starred as Tick and Mitzi in the West end production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert at The Palace Theatre.

Early Life

Donovan was born in Melbourne and went on to star in the hit Australian soap, Neighbours.

Career Highlights

Donovan rose to fame on Neighbours and went on to launch a music career with the single Nothing Can Divide Us. He then joined forces with Kylie Minogue and they recorded the duet Especially For You.

Donovan made his West End debut in 1991 starring in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Donovan has also starred in the UK touring production of the Rocky Horror Show (1997) and in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2004), the UK tour of Sweeney Todd (2006) and Priscilla Queen of the Desert (2009/2010).

  • Donovan starred alongside Kylie Minogue for the first time at the age of 11 in Australia's Skyways
  • Donovan's father, Terence Donovan played Doug Willis in Neighbours. His half sister, Stephanie McIntosh also appeared in the show as Sky Mangel
  • Since 2003, the star has lent his voice to the incredibly popular Buzz! computer games

  • Silver Logie for Most Popular Actor for the same part in 1988
