Early Life

Aoife Mulholland was born in Galway in 1978, the youngest of four siblings. She studied music at University College Dublin and did a post graduate diploma in Business Studies at National University Galway. She then went on to train at the Central School of Speech and Drama (CSSD).

Career Highlights

Whilst training at CSSD, she appeared in many productions including '42nd Street' as Peggy Sawyer and Annie Oakley in 'Annie Get Your Gun' - for which she was nominated for an A.I.M.S Best Actress Award. Aoife graduated from CSSD with a degree in music and Grade 8 in piano and singing. She has just completed a Masters in Acting and Musical Theatre.

Aoife Mulholland shot to fame as a contestant in the BBC talent show 'How do you solve a problem like Maria?'. Despite not winning the show, Aofie was signed by agents Curtis Brown and gained her first West End role as Roxie Hart in Chicago.

After her successful West End debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago, Aoife is now playing the part for which she competed on 'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?' Due to medical recommendations, current star of 'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?', Connie Fisher, will be performing six out of eight shows per week. The Monday evening and Wednesday matinee performances will be played by Aoife Mulholland. Andrew Lloyd Webber is said to be delighted to welcome Aoife to the cast and that she gave a fantastic audition.
