Anna Friel's latest role was that of Holly Golightly in Samuel Adamson's West End adaption of Truman Capote's classic novella Breakfast at Tiffany's at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

Early Life

English Actress Anna Friel was born in Rochdale, Greater Manchester in 1976 and later attended Crompton House Church of England High School before heading to Holy Cross 6th Form College in Bury. Displaying talent and passion for acting from a young age, Friel attended local talent shows.

Career Highlights

Friel starred in Emmerdale and in 1992 she joined the cast of Brookside, stunning audiences with her lesbian kiss in, what became, one of the most talked about episodes in the history of the show.

Friel appeared in the original Broadway run of Closer 1998 and made her West End debut in Lulu which later transferred to Broadway. She also played the role of Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's in Theatreland.
