Adam Garcia is currently starring in the hit West End show, Wicked. This new London musical tells the previously untold tale of the witches of Oz. Adam Garcia will be playing the role of 'Fiyero' at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, London. Early Life

Adam Garcia was born in Sydney, Australia in 1973. Adam began to dance at the age of seven, he was not interested in dancing but attended lessons so that he could spend more time with his best friend! Adam quickly found out that he loved to dance and to perform. He trained in performing arts and dance at the prestigious Capital Dance Studios in Sydney. Adam Garcia is now a professional dancer in ballet, jazz, tap and classical ballet.

This Australian born actor has a variety of talents and interests. As well as dancing, Adam Garcia plays the piano and the guitar, he is an environmentalist and co-founder of successful dance troupe, 'Tapdogs.' Garcia is a keen science fiction fan, claiming that Star Wars movies are among his favorite films.

Career Highlights

Adam Garcia left University to take on the role of 'Slide' in the musical production 'Hot Shoe Shuffle.' The musical toured Australia for two years before transferring to the West End, London. Adam Garcia stayed in the West End taking on roles in successful London musicals such as 'Grease' and 'Saturday Night Fever.' Adam co-founded the dance stage show 'Tapdogs' with choreographer, Dein Perry who he worked with in 'Hot Shoe Shuffle.' In 2000, Garcia starred in the film 'Bootmen' which was a movie inspired by the Tapdogs story.

Adam Garcia found mainstream fame as an actor with his roles in Hollywood blockbusters, 'Coyote Ugly,' 'Riding in Cars with Boys' and 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen' in 2004. Adam recently made an appearance on UK television in the hit science fiction series, 'Doctor Who.' The BBC claim that Garcia accepted the relatively minor role in the series because of his love for science fiction.

During his acting career, Adam Garcia has been nominated for and won a number of prestigious awards. He was nominated for a sought after Olivier award when he played the lead role in hit musical 'Saturday Night Fever.' His achievements in both film and stage acting to date are impressive - more good things look set to happen for this talented young actor.
