The Aldwych Theatre opened in December 1905 with a production of Blue Bell. In it's time it has housed many a luminary performer and been the base of productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company. The Aldwych was built along with the Waldorf Theatre (now the Novello Theatre) and can comfortably seat over 1000 guests.

Venue Access Information:
The Aldwych Theatre has ramp a access, disabled toilets and four spaces for wheelchair users in the circle. Signed performances are available; as are captioned performances, where the script appears on an electronic screen. The theatre also provide audio-described performances, where trained describers comment on the performance through discreet headsets.
